Position: Senior Vice President, POM Product Management – located in Frankfurt, Germany.

Job Summary

At BNY, a leading global financial services company, we are seeking a seasoned product leader to head our International Payment Product Management Group within Treasury Services. You will drive product strategy, roadmaps, and quarterly initiatives for our European Bank branch and clients, ensuring alignment with market needs and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Product ownership of international payment products, including strategy, roadmaps, and quarterly initiatives for our European Bank branch and clients.
• Contribute to the platform’s strategic objectives and key results through product‑specific data, metrics, and goals.
• Lead product management, development, and strategy for international payment products and solutions for our European Bank and clients.
• Develop ideas for new products, ensuring that risk, regulations, and market conditions are accounted for throughout the life‑cycle.
• Collaborate across risk, compliance, legal, and governance for product approvals and governance activities.
• Analyze complex client requirements with market and industry trends to develop products and solutions that meet emerging needs.
• Independently manage the development, enhancement, and profitability of assigned products and perform operational and marketing analysis to ensure profitability and penetration goals are met.
• Own end‑to‑end delivery on the pod’s outcomes, ensuring the roadmap is executed and coaching the pod’s team.
• Manage relationships with Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Legal, etc., to meet requirements during the new product development cycle.
• Employ a client‑focused, strategic approach to develop the business case for offerings through in‑depth analysis on client segments, competitive landscape, and industry environment.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of assigned products, the marketplace, and client needs to drive product growth and maximize profitability.
• Create product management roadmaps, establish evaluation criteria and success metrics, lead pricing, promotion, distribution strategies, and competitive differentiators.
• Position products for specific client segments, highlighting key benefits and competitive advantages.
• Engage with Sales and relationship management in supporting business sales.
• Provide technical training, demonstrations, and develop user guides for clients while preparing sales materials and training BNY professionals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or technical‑related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred.
• 10–12 years of experience in product ownership or product management for global/international payments products.
• Knowledge of Swift, ISO 20022, European clearings (TARGET2, SEPA).
• Understanding of correspondent banking a plus.
