Responsibilities
- Plan, install, maintain, and troubleshoot railway energy supply systems, including high‑frequency converter plants for long‑distance rail (16.7 Hz), DC plants for streetcars, and charging infrastructure for electric public transport.
- Travel nationwide; local assignments are possible.
- Perform maintenance, inspection, and fault isolation of energy supply equipment; ensure plant availability.
- Execute product‑specific service works, document technical conditions, and adhere to service contracts.
- Analyze and resolve faults independently and restore operation quickly.
- Prepare technical reports such as measurement logs, fault analyses, and update plant documentation.
- Act as technical interface to project leadership, customers, and partners.
- Generate technical documentation and billing‑accurate performance reports.
- Participate in a 24/7 on‑call service duty as required.
- Work quality‑ and cost‑aware, meet deadlines, and communicate respectfully and securely.
- Observe occupational, health, and environmental protection standards.
Qualifications
- Electrotechnical apprenticeship completed, preferably as an Electronics Technician for operations.
- More than three years of experience as an Electronics Technician for operations, ideally in railway energy supply, regional power supply, or industrial sectors.
- Qualified electrical specialist with current medium‑voltage switching authorization; knowledgeable in AC/DC switching plants, transformers, frequency converters, and network protection.
- Valid class B driving licence and proficiency in German oral and written communication.
- Open to further training and personal development.
