Site Engineer

Site EngineerFrankfurt, Germany We are looking for an experienced Site Engineer with a strong civil or structural engineering background to act on behalf of our client, ensuring quality, compliance, and technical excellence on a flagship data centre construction project in Frankfurt.Working as the client’s representative on site, you will monitor contractor performance, carry out detailed inspections, and ensure all civil and structural works meet approved designs, statutory requirements, and the Employer’s Requirements. You will also liaise closely with the Prüfstatiker, identify risks early, and ensure the highest standards are achieved throughout.Fluency in both German and English is essential to communicate effectively with contractors, statutory reviewers, and the client team. Key ResponsibilitiesConduct daily site inspections and maintain comprehensive records.Produce weekly inspection reports and issue quality action notices as required.Attend pre-pour inspections, reviewing reinforcement against approved drawings.Oversee concrete pours, verifying benchmarks and compliance with specifications.Monitor workmanship, technical compliance, and adherence to local standards.Liaise with the Prüfstatiker on inspections, surveys, and approvals.Review contractor’s temporary works designs for due diligence.Provide technical advice to the client and ensure compliance with Prüfstatiker comments.Chair weekly quality meetings with the client and contractor.Support the client’s project manager in acceptance of completed works.Maintain strong communication with the general contractor to secure documentation, pour schedules, quality records, and test results. Skills & ExperienceDegree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering.Minimum 5 years’ site-based experience on major construction projects, ideally industrial or data centre builds.Strong background in reinforced concrete works, including pre-pour checks, detailing, and quality control.Experience in a client-side role as Resident Engineer, Clerk of Works, or Site Supervisor.Familiarity with German standards and Prüfstatiker processes (desirable; training can be provided).Proven ability to review technical documentation and resolve quality issues early.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Fluent in German and English (written and spoken). Location: On-site in Frankfurt, Monday–FridayWorking hours may be adjusted to suit concrete pour schedules.
