Summary: The Site Manager for Battery and Solar is crucial in overseeing renewable energy projects within Vattenfall's Business Area Wind. This role focuses on ensuring the successful execution of photovoltaic and battery storage initiatives, emphasizing sustainability and efficient project management.

Main Responsibilities

Oversee and coordinate subcontractors and site supervisors.
Monitor daily construction activities, resources, schedules, and site budgets.
Conduct regular site inspections to address safety and hazards.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to resolve issues.
Maintain accurate documentation, including photos, logs, reports, and quality records.
Review project progress and change order requests from subcontractors.
Contribute to regular status, progress, and risk reports.
Provide workable technical solutions to the project team.
Track and ensure rectification of defects.
Enforce site policies and regulations for safety and productivity.
Lead site teams, promoting teamwork and accountability.
Hold overall HSE responsibility on site.
Use office tools and equipment as needed.

Key Requirements

Minimum 5 years experience in renewable energy construction, particularly in photovoltaic or battery projects.
A-levels (Abitur) in electrical/civil or specialization in electrical/civil installation.
Minimum 2 years as a Construction Site Manager in the photovoltaic/BESS sector.
In-depth knowledge of construction processes, techniques, materials, and safety standards.
Strong leadership and decision‑making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in reading construction plans, drawings, and blueprints.
Good knowledge of English and German.
Valid driver's license and willingness to work on various project sites.
No criminal record.

Nice to Have

Certificates: SCC‑Schulung für operativ tätige Führungskräfte, First aid certification.
Self‑motivated with a process‑oriented and structured way of working.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word).
User knowledge of all requisite software tools.

Other Details

Location: Office in Hamburg or Berlin, primarily working from construction sites.
Team Structure: Collaborates with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders.
