Site Manager - Freelance

Our client is delivering a hybrid renewable energy project combining Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) with a large-scale ground-mounted Solar PV farm totalling 60 MW PV and 40 MW storage capacity . The project is currently entering the construction phase and requires an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee day-to‑day site operations and ensure safe, timely, and high‑quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead on-site construction management of all BESS and Solar PV works, including civil, electrical, and mechanical scopes.
• Supervise subcontractors, ensuring compliance with project specifications, health & safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Coordinate daily site meetings, progress tracking, and reporting to the Project Manager.
• Manage logistics, deliveries, and interface between solar and battery installation teams.
• Review and approve method statements, risk assessments, and QA / QC documentation.
• Drive adherence to schedule and budget through proactive site management.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience in site management for renewable energy or power infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record in utility‑scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) installations.
• Valid EU work authorization
