Software Developer Network & Videostreaming (m/f/d) all Levels

Your mission

You ensure that our teleoperated forklift maintains a reliable and robust real-time video transmission and network connection between the vehicle and remote operators by optimizing our video streaming pipeline and further developing our network setup to improve operator performance.

Your profile

• Degree in Computer Science or a comparable field
• Strong knowledge of Python and C++
• Experience and basic understanding of computer vision and networking
• Solid foundations in software development
• Experience with ROS2 and GStreamer

You are also characterized by:

• Strong analytical skills and ability to quickly adapt to new topics
• Independent problem analysis and solution skills
• High level of self-organization and structured working style

Your tasks

In your role, you will be responsible for:

• Developing robust real-time video and audio transmission
• Creating intelligent features to enhance teleoperation
• Optimizing the streaming pipeline for latency and bitrate
• Optimizing the hardware setup
• Building redundant real-time network connections
• Developing smart Wi-Fi roaming functions for the forklift client
• Developing software-based monitoring tools
• Optimizing ROS and GStreamer data flow at the network level
