VERANTWORTLICHKEITEN

• Entwirft, modifiziert und evaluiert Firmen- und Software für Hochspannungs-Röntgengeneratoren
• Fehlerbehebung und Fehlerbehebung bestehender Firmen-/Software
• Softwarelösungen für neue Marktanforderungen
• Durchführung spezifischer Tests an Röntgengeneratoren und -geräten
• Bereitet die technische Dokumentation für die regulatorischen Anforderungen von Medizinprodukten vor und pflegt sie
• Erstellen Sie eine Dokumentation für die Softwarefreigabe in der Produktion (auf Englisch und Deutsch).
• Unterstützt die Fertigungsabteilung bei neu veröffentlichter Software
• Führen Sie Schulungen zu Softwareänderungen und -verbesserungen durch
• Arbeiten Sie mit Kunden zusammen, um deren Anforderungen/Probleme zu verstehen, und nutzen Sie dieses Verständnis und Ihr Fachwissen, um Systemarchitekturen und -lösungen zu erstellen
• Kommunizieren Sie mit analogen Ingenieuren, Projektleitern, Projektmanagern, Fertigungs- und Testgruppen und unterstützen Sie diese sowie direkte Kommunikation mit Kunden
• Interpretation/Dokumentation/Aktualisierung von Spezifikationen auf Basis einer abgestimmten Entwicklung mit Kunden
• Erstellen Sie Programmier- und Testverfahren, die sowohl intern als auch von der Kundengemeinschaft verwendet werden
• Führen Sie Änderungsunterstützung und Versionskontrolle von Firmware und Software durch
• Führen Sie Designverifizierungstests und Dokumentation durch
• Unterstützen Sie die Forschung und Entwicklung (F&E) neuer Produkte und Technologien

QUALIFIKATIONEN & ANFORDERUNGEN

• BA in Elektrotechnik oder Hochschulabschluss (Schwerpunkt Software-Design, ein Plus ist Elektronik)
• Deutschkenntnisse sind Voraussetzung, gute Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
• Ausgezeichnete Kommunikations-, Präsentations- und Dokumentationsfähigkeiten
• Praktische Erfahrung und Kenntnisse in C und C++
• Praktische Erfahrung und Kenntnisse in Visual C++ und Visual Studio
• Verständnis des grundlegenden Designs der Microsoft Windows-Benutzeroberfläche
• Grundlegendes Verständnis elektronischer Schaltkreise
• Vertrautheit mit Schaltplänen
• Erfahrung mit Mikrocontroller-Sprachen
• Erfahrungen mit der Medizinprodukterichtlinie sind von Vorteil
• Erfahrungen mit medizinischen Geräten sind von Vorteil
• Muss unabhängig und eigenmotiviert sein, starke analytische Fähigkeiten und kreatives Denken nachweisen

Spellman High Voltage Electronics Corp. is a leading and growing international company that delivers advanced products and solutions into the medical imaging, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), Food Inspection and Transport Security markets at the global scale. Our focus on the German market and the development of our capability in Germany has been and continues to be one of the top business priorities. Germany is focused on the medical imaging, manufacturer and developer of the medical X-Ray generator. In order to continue to do so, Spellman is seeking an energetic and motivated Software Engineer to provide technical expertise and add capability for upcoming projects to our highly skilled engineering team in Bochum.

For this role, our expectations are to focus on both the firm- and software development, as well as technical documentation. The goal is, to add experienced resource to the existing team and be a motivated and engaged worker on important projects and customizations. In addition to that, it is important to be a team worker and part of V&V processes with theoretical and physical workload.

Responsibilities

• Designs, modifies and evaluates firm- and software for high voltage x-ray generators
• Troubleshooting and bug-fixing of existing firm- / software
• Software solutions for new market requirements
• Performing specific tests on X-Ray generator and equipment
• Prepares and maintains technical documentation for medical device regulatory requirements
• Create documentation for software release to production (In English and German).
• Supports manufacturing department on newly released software
• Perform training on software changes and improvements
• Interface with customers to understand their requirements/ problems and use this understanding and your expertise to create system architectures and solutions
• Communicate with and support analogue engineers, project leaders, project managers, manufacturing, and test groups as well direct interfacing with customers
• Interpret / Document / update specifications based on coordinated development with customers
• Create programming and testing procedures to be used both internally and by the customer community
• Perform change support and version control of firmware and software
• Perform design verification testing and documentation
• Support the Research and Development (R&D) of new products and technologies

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, or higher education (concentration in software design, a plus is electronics)
• German language is a must, good English knowledge in speaking and writing
• Excellent communication, presentation and documentation skills
• Hands-on experience and knowledge in C and C++
• Hands-on experience and knowledge in Visual C++ and Visual Studio
• Understanding of basic Microsoft Windows user interface design
• Basic understanding of electronic circuits
• Familiarity with schematics
• Experience with microcontroller languages
• Experience with medical device directive is a plus
• Experience with medical devices is a plus
• Must be independent and self-motivated, demonstrate strong analytical skills and creative thinking
• Ability to collaborate in a team environment
