Software Engineer – Data Compression for Embedded Systems

Responsibilities

• Develop high-performance software for embedded systems
• Contribute to the design and further development of efficient, industry-recognized products, particularly IoT modules
• Review, maintain, and optimize existing codebases
• Adapt and integrate customer-specific requirements into the company’s generic software platform
• Conduct performance, benchmark, and stress testing
• Prepare documentation such as user manuals and application notes

Your Profile / Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a comparable field
• Passion for embedded computing systems and efficient software design
• Hands-on experience with microcontrollers
• Several years of experience in C programming
• Basic understanding of compression algorithms and their functionality

Ideally, you also bring

• Familiarity with embedded development tools or similar software environments
• Strong analytical skills and a structured, organized working style
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Commitment, reliability, and a proactive, independent mindset
• Keen interest in new technologies and motivation to work in a dynamic, fast-evolving environment
• Very good German and solid English language skills
