Software Engineer

About the Role

My client is looking for a high-calibre C++ Software Engineer to take a leading role in designing and developing next-generation software solutions used across high-reliability, performance-critical environments.

You’ll work hands-on with modern C++ (C++17/20) and cutting-edge development tools to build robust, scalable, and efficient systems — from architecture through to deployment. This is a role for engineers who enjoy solving complex technical problems, pushing performance boundaries, and shaping the direction of sophisticated software products.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain core software components in modern C++ (C++17/20)
• Collaborate on system architecture and performance optimization for large-scale or embedded applications
• Develop cross-platform solutions (Windows / Linux / RTOS) using best-in-class development practices
• Apply object-oriented design principles, templates, and STL effectively
• Drive code quality, unit testing, and continuous integration
• Engage with product management, hardware, and QA teams to translate complex requirements into elegant software solutions
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the technical roadmap of the product line

Your Profile

Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field
5+ years of professional C++ experience, ideally in high-performance, embedded, or system-level development
Strong understanding of C++17/20 features, templates, multithreading, and memory management
Experience with Qt / QML, Boost, or STL libraries
Familiarity with version control (Git), build systems (CMake), and CI/CD pipelines
A structured, analytical mindset with attention to detail and performance
Fluent in English (German is a plus)
