Software Engineer Java (d/m/w)

VR Smart Finanz AG, part of the DZ BANK Group, is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to shape the digital future of our company and the broader partnership. The position is based in Eschborn (Rhein-Main region) and is full‑time.

Responsibilities

Design and develop digital and forward‑looking solutions based on your expertise and creativity.
Address performance challenges and maintain code quality.
Contribute to requirements analysis and technology evaluations, offering recommendations to stakeholders, and collaborate with teammates and architects.
Apply agile experience to continuously improve the development process and support other developers.

Qualifications

3–5 years of experience in web development with Java, Jakarta EE, Spring, HTML, CSS, JSF, Angular/JS, and Oracle/DB2. APIs and microservices experience is essential.
Strong Git skills.
Experience in DevOps and a willingness to explore unconventional approaches.
Familiarity with agile development processes, tools, and methods (Scrum, Jira, etc.).
