Software Engineer (mwx) TypeScript (NestJS or React)

Tasks

As one of our first hires you’ll be working closely with the founders from day one playing a crucial role in shaping the future of the product.

• Take ownership of either backend or frontend projects and expand into the complementary area.
• Backend: build APIs, model data and work with NestJS / TypeScript to develop AI‑driven features.
• Frontend: craft React components, integrate with backend services, optimize user experience.
• Work with Product and engineering peers to design, ship, test and maintain features.
• Collaborate in code reviews and optional pair programming.

You will be working closely with Max (CTO) and Nico (CPO) who own tech and product respectively.

Requirements

You have strong experience in either React / modern frontend tooling or backend development (NestJS / Node REST / GraphQL). What matters most is your motivation to learn the other side and grow into a full‑stack role. You thrive in high‑agility environments and want to contribute to a culture of ownership, pair programming and continuous improvement.

Must‑have skills

• Experience in at least one of:
• NestJS / TypeScript (REST or GraphQL API design)
• React / TypeScript (hooks, component architecture)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in English or German.
• (We prioritize ability, impact and growth mindset over years of experience or formal degrees.)

Nice to have

• Working experience or curiosity around AI: LLMs, LangChain, Embeddings, RAG pipelines, Vector DBs.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering or fine‑tuning.
• Experience working in lean, disciplined startup / agile teams.
