Project Overview

This position supports the EGNOS (European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service) program, focusing on the development and enhancement of PCF AF (Application Function) software modules used for navigation system processing.

The role involves extending and testing AF-UT software chains to support enhanced service capabilities within the EGNOS system.

Key Responsibilities

• Extend AF-UT functionality for the IONO_CHAIN to support the ENH service by:

• Integrating a second instance of IFB within the processing chain
• Adapting the input data compressor and internal data flow according to system specifications
• Performing test runs and validation of the updated software modules

• Extend AF-UT functionality for the CHO_CHAIN to support the ENH service by:

• Integrating additional instances for CHO Application Functions (AFs)
• Adapting input data compression and internal processing flows
• Executing software testing and verification runs

• Contribute to the software development lifecycle , including requirement-based design, testing, and repository management.

• Support testing activities using test-driven development approaches and software quality metrics .

• Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth integration within the EGNOS processing chain environment .

• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle , including requirement-based design, testing approaches, and code quality metrics.

• Advanced programming skills in C++ and Python .

• Experience working with C++ development toolchains and GitLab-based repository workflows .

• Ability to work within complex navigation system software environments .
