The Opportunity

Are you ready to join our Mapping & Perception team, tackle exciting challenges, and bring our software to the next level? Imagine being part of a team where you collaborate with experienced engineers to improve our software and components that power our mobile mapping systems. We are transforming our spatial technology by developing cutting‑edge solutions to create realistic 3D representations of our environment, such as floor plans, point clouds, and panoramic images. How You Will Make An Impact

• You will design and implement new features for the software on our mapping devices.
• You will create concepts, software architecture and design for our core software stack (C++, Linux/Ubuntu, ROS, Python).
• You will collaborate with our hardware teams on the evaluation and integration of new sensors, compute units, and components including performance and quality evaluations.
• You will write drivers or APIs to bridge the hardware/software interface.
• You will have the opportunity to be actively involved in the full life‑cycle of software development from design to deployment, including infrastructure and continuous integration/delivery.
• You will handle the continuous improvement of automated tests and automated delivery of software.

What Will Help You Succeed In The Role

• A master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or a similar field, ideally with a specialization in robotics.
• 4–5 years of hands‑on experience with professional software development, ideally using modern C++ and Python.
• A solid foundation in the mathematical concepts of geometry and optimization.
• The drive to stay up‑to‑date on the latest advances in robotics, hardware and software development.
• A preference for systematic data‑driven experimentation and technology development.

We'll Be Thrilled If You Have

• Experience with PCL (Point Cloud Library).
• Experience with OpenCV.
• Experience with C++ libraries like Boost, Eigen.
• Experience with the hardware of sensors such as laser scanners, IMUs and cameras.
• Worked in a development team using agile principles.
