As a Software QA Engineer for factory applications, you will focus on designing and implementing automated test scenarios to increase test coverage and build confidence in software releases. You will perform functional testing of manufacturing systems and work closely with developers to ensure high-quality, reliable solutions. Your focus on automation and process improvement will drive efficiency and continuous quality enhancement across our development and releases cycles. What You'll Do Work with software developers to define test strategies and automate test cases for factory applicationsDesign, develop, and enhance Tesla’s automated test frameworks using open-source solutions.Stay informed of current methodologies and technologies, contribute to and participate in the evaluation of new strategies and/or technologies to improve software qualityLog, manage, and retest defects using issue tracking systemReport testing status, milestones and issues to project stakeholders Maintain high standard of internal documentation with a special focus on traceability and change validation What You'll Bring Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experienceSolid understanding of general concepts and best practices of software engineeringHands-on software development experience working with one or more of TypeScript (preferred), Java, C# and GoExperience with CI/CD toolchains using common technologies such as Git, Docker, Kubernetes, JenkinsProficiency in API testing automation (REST)Hands-on experience with one of Playwright (preferred), Cypress, Selenium is must-haveWorking experience with relational databases and SQL is requiredKnowledge of performing testing tools such as K6, JMeter is a big plusPrevious experience with Kafka and deep understanding of streaming architectures is a big plus What we offer: You will be working in our state-of-the-art Gigafactory, where you’ll solve the world's most interesting problems with the best and brightest people who share a passion to change the world.
