Software Security Engineer

Overview

An AI start-up in Paderborn transforming the world of orthopaedic surgery is looking for a Software Security Engineer to join their growing team. This is a flexible hybrid role requiring around 2 days in the office per week, reporting to the Engineering Manager. A minimum level of A2 German is required.

Responsibilities

• Identify vulnerabilities in code and remediate issues.
• Improve the secure software development lifecycle (S-SDLC).
• Manage security issues, conduct security analyses, and install new systems and components.
• Implement security measures across the environment.

Qualifications

• Recent graduates with internships or work-student experience are encouraged to apply; PhD holders are also welcome.
• Experience with Linux systems.
• Proficiency in C++ or Python.
• Knowledge of DevOps and GitLab.
• Foundational knowledge of IT security.
