Software Support Engineer (m/f/d)
as soon as possible.
For our national and international customers we design and operate modern IT infrastructures and platform solutions. We accompany the entire system lifecycle – from architecture and implementation through operation to continuous further development.
Position
- Location: Darmstadt (on‑site at the customer and remote)
Contract type: 12–24months (with the possibility of subsequent permanent employment at the Lüneburg site)
Your Responsibilities
- Customer interaction : Primary contact for the customer’s engineering and operations teams, interfacing with the back‑office
- Coordination & analysis : Liaise with on‑site customer teams, perform root‑cause analyses for technical challenges
- Integration & optimisation : Support integration and validation (I&V) of the software, assist with architectural decisions and change requests
- Operations support : Prepare software releases, assist with rollout into operation, and create technical documentation
- Development & support : Intensive onboarding and coaching by the back‑office team and on‑site colleagues in Darmstadt
Your Profile
- Completed degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification
- Knowledge of software support and experience with Linux‑server systems
- Good programming skills in a language such as Java or Python (desirable)
- Experience with complex software systems in the space or scientific environment is a plus (not mandatory)
- Independent work , strong communication and service orientation, team player
- Willingness to take on the role and continuously learn
- Very good German and English skills (international collaboration)
