Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Solutions Architect to join our Media & Entertainment team, working with enterprise customers in this dynamic and rapidly evolving industry. This role combines technical expertise with industry-specific knowledge to help media companies, streaming platforms, content creators, broadcasters, and entertainment studios transform their businesses through cloud adoption.

As a Solutions Architect specializing in Media & Entertainment, you will be a trusted technical advisor to engineering leaders and technical decision-makers at entertainment companies. You'll architect solutions to address the unique challenges of content creation, distribution, monetization, and audience engagement in the digital entertainment landscape. Your expertise will span from traditional broadcast workflows to streaming architectures, from content supply chain optimization to AI-powered personalization engines. You will partner closely with AWS Sales teams and cross-functional organizations to drive revenue growth while helping customers navigate the technical complexities of media transformation. This includes architecting solutions for live streaming, building content delivery networks, implementing analytics for audience insights, and designing secure, compliant workflows for content protection and rights management. The ideal candidate brings a combination of technical depth, media industry experience, and strong relationship-building skills. You should have a demonstrated track record of architecting solutions to difficult problems, understanding the nuances of broadcast standards, streaming protocols, and content workflows, while being able to translate complex technical concepts into business value for entertainment companies.

Key responsibilities

• Customer Partnership: Build and maintain relationships with engineering leaders and technical decision-makers at media and entertainment companies, serving as their trusted technical advisor for cloud transformation initiatives.
• Solution Architecture: Design and deliver end-to-end architectures for media workflows including live streaming, content processing pipelines, and multi-platform distribution systems where business objectives are defined but technical solutions require development.
• Industry Knowledge: Apply understanding of media industry challenges, requirements, and emerging technologies to provide guidance on digital transformation strategies, leveraging existing solutions and repeatable design patterns.
• Revenue Growth: Partner with sales teams to identify, qualify, and progress opportunities through their lifecycle, contributing to revenue growth by helping customers understand how cloud technologies address their challenges.
• Technical Collaboration: Lead technical solution discussions with customer teams while collaborating effectively with internal teams including sales, business development, and engineering. Participate in peer design reviews and improve team processes.
• Content Development: Develop and deliver technical content including sample code, blog posts, presentations, and workshops that incorporate lessons learned from customer engagements and serve as examples of best practices.
• Technology Guidance: Help customers understand how emerging technologies like AI/ML and immersive technologies can address their business challenges, translating technical capabilities into business value.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience within specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
• Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
• Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
• Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective
• Experience with presentations and speaking with executives, IT, management, and developers
• Written and verbal German language skills preferable
