Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Solutions Consultant to join our EMEA Insurance sales team focused on theDACH markets. As a Solutions Consultant you will assist and facilitate key deliverables utilized within the sales process with a focus on writing and creating formal documentation for Clearwater, including adherence and support of guidelines for the Sales Team.
You will contribute to and develop sales resources as needed, looking for ways to proactively add value to the Clearwater sales offering. You will work with prospective clients to identify pain points in their current operating model and fully understand how the Clearwater solution solves problems and adds value to their operations.
The ideal candidate is adept at solving problems and seeks to develop new skills over time. This creative, self-starting candidate should have the ability to work well with, and gain the respect of both, internal colleagues and external prospects while leveraging technical knowledge and skills to solve complex problems and create solutions.
Responsibilities
- Work with prospective clients to understand their current infrastructure, business requirements, subsequent challenges and how their operations will be enhanced by utilizing the Clearwater solution
- Develop a deep understanding of Clearwater’s product
- Assist in the successful completion, organization and delegation for prospect RFPs
- Effectively communicate Clearwater’s core value proposition through written and oral demonstration
- Apply deep domain expertise to evaluate requirements and demonstrate CWAN’s solution to meet a wide range of insurance investment management requirements for Clearwater's largest clients and be able to talk the language of insurance risk experts
- Capable of solving complex and abstract problems
- Assist with critical research and preparation for sales visits
- Provide relevant product and market feedback to Clearwater’s product management, development, global delivery and client services teams
- Collaboratively organize resources across Clearwater to support sales efforts
Required Skills
- Knowledge in
- EIOPA Guidelines (ORSA, Reporting & Disclosure)
- EU-wide stress test technical specs (for methods and disclosures)
- RIMS-CRMP prep, Risk appetite & tolerance, ERM for strategic decisions.
- SII/SCR/ORSA/ALM
- Sustainable Value (BZLW) & asset valuation of regional specific assets (Mortgage Bonds, SSDs etc.)
- German: DAV (Deutsche Aktuarvereinigung)
- Bonus: German GAAP (HGB) and German local regulatory reporting
- Knowledge of: Securities or financial markets, especially derivatives, alternatives, structured products, and/or fixed income
- Good understanding of the financial Instruments specific in the DACH-region (e.g. Schuldscheindarlehen, Namensschuldverschreibung, Inhaberschuldverschreibung, Vorkäufe/ preemptive), assets with pre-payments (mortgage bonds etc.)
- Working knowledge of specific processes in the DACH-region (e.g. Träuhänder/ trustee process, Marktgerechtigkeitsprüfung/ trade control, stress tests and forecasting
- Understanding of challenges in the industry (reporting, accounting, data...)
- Ability to concisely convey information through verbal and written communication.
- Dynamic problem-solving skills, and an innate sense of curiosity with motivation to continually learn and solve problems for our clients.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in German and English
Education and Experience
- Practicioner who worked in the risk controlling / middle office space of an insurance firm
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- 4+ years’ relevant experience in any of the following: Asset Management, Insurance, FinTech, Investment Accounting, or Investment Operations
