Job Description
The Solutions Consultant evolves the traditional Sales Engineering role by providing technical leadership and guidance throughout customers' security transformation journeys. The role defines, designs, and implements technical solutions that secure key business imperatives and ensure investment value.
Responsibilities
- Meet and exceed sales quotas by building and implementing strategic, technical account plans that target cross‑platform solutions.
- Position, demonstrate, and create high‑level designs across the entire PANW portfolio based on customer business needs.
- Conduct discovery to understand and articulate the key technical, operational, and commercial imperatives of prospects and customers.
- Collaborate closely with Professional Services, Customer Success and Specialist teams to ensure overall implementation and adoption.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and influence through effective presentations, demos, technical engagements, and workshops.
- Lead successful technical validation efforts based on best practices to secure technical win in assigned opportunities.
- Orchestrate supporting resources (Specialists, Channel Resources, Customer Support) to maintain a cohesive, one‑team approach.
- Promote end‑to‑end solutions that include PANW and/or partner professional services to realize business value sooner.
- Understand the competitive landscape and effectively differentiate our leadership.
- Continuously invest in technical and professional skills, actively participate within the Solutions Consultant community and industry events.
- Identify technical stakeholders and cultivate relationships to build and drive a security architecture transformation roadmap.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of pre‑sales/sales engineering experience.
- Skilled in at least one of Networking, Network Security, Cybersecurity, Private/Public Cloud Security, SOC/Endpoint, or SASE.
- Experience delivering cybersecurity solutions that solve technical challenges and influence new business initiatives (preferred).
- Proven ability to influence and gain buy‑in from key stakeholders in customer‑facing or internal roles.
- Experience creating and delivering technical presentations, workshops, or validation engagements.
- Experience selling, designing, implementing, or managing solutions such as Network Security, SASE, SaaS, CNAPP, and/or SOC Transformation Technologies.
- Experience partnering with Customer Support functions to ensure successful implementation and adoption.
- Experience in complex sales involving long processes, multiple buying centers, and multi‑product solutions (preferred).
- High‑level German and proficiency in English. Some travel may be required.
