Solutions Consultant (Presales) - Public Sector
The Solutions Consultant is a modern Sales Engineering role focused on providing technical leadership and expertise in helping customers secure their digital environments. This role guides customers through security transformation, defines technical solutions, and ensures value realization across product lifecycle.
Your Impact
- Meet and exceed sales quotas by building and implementing strategic, technical account plans for cross‑platform solutions.
- Position, demonstrate, and create high‑level designs across the PANW portfolio based on customer business needs.
- Conduct discovery to understand and articulate key technical, operational, and commercial imperatives.
- Collaborate closely with Professional Services, Customer Success, and Specialist teams to ensure implementation and adoption.
- Demonstrate strong communications skills through effective presentations, demos, technical engagements, and workshops.
- Lead technical validation efforts based on best practices to ensure technical win.
- Orchestrate supporting resources to maintain a one‑team approach that showcases a cohesive strategy.
- Promote end‑to‑end solutions, including partner services, to accelerate business value realization.
- Understand competitive landscape and differentiate our leadership.
- Continuously invest in technical and professional development while engaging in the Solutions Consultant community and industry events.
- Identify technical stakeholders and cultivate relationships with key personas to build a security architecture transformation roadmap.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of data networking and/or modern application design and cloud architectures.
- Experience delivering cybersecurity solutions that solve technical challenges and influence new business initiatives.
- Prior pre‑sales role experience and ability to influence and gain buy‑in from key stakeholders.
- Skill in creating and delivering technical presentations, workshops, or validation engagements.
- Experience selling, designing, implementing, or managing Network Security, SASE, SaaS, Cloud Security, or SOC Transformation solutions.
- Collaboration with Customer Support functions to ensure successful implementation and adoption.
- Experience with complex sales involving long processes, multiple buying centres, and multi‑product solutions is preferred.
- Familiarity with channel partners and a channel‑centric market approach.
- Background in the German public networking security space with knowledge of public regulatory requirements and procurement law.
- High level of German language skills; business fluent in English.
