Spacecraft Controller (f/m/d)

Overview

We are seeking dynamic and motivated individuals to join our Spacecraft Operations Teams and contribute to many exciting missions as a Spacecraft Controller.

Responsibilities

• Completion of a 3–4-month training program with final certification
• Monitoring of satellites and telemetry
• Monitor and control the operations progress for multiple satellite missions, in accordance with the scheduled operations timeline
• Execute specific operations as defined in the operations timeline and in accordance with the established procedures
• Upon detection of an anomaly, take the corrective action as necessary, according to the approved contingency procedures, and support the responsible expert for further investigation
• Logging and reporting of routine and emergency operations
• Preparation and updating of procedures
• Contribute to the maintenance of training material and train new spacecraft controllers
• Maintenance of software

Requirements

• Completed technical training or qualification as a technician
• Commitment and willingness to work in a 24/7 shift system
• Experience in monitoring process workflows
• Experience in telecommunications or space industry is desirable
• Experience with Linux is desirable
• Fluent in English
• Evidence of European citizenship is required; a security clearance will be conducted at the time of hiring

Security

In line with security requirements for the concerned missions of this position, the candidate has to hold European citizenship. Evidence of eligibility will be required from candidates as part of the recruitment process. All potential employees will undergo stringent reference and identity checks.

Working Hours: 40 hours/week, 24/7 (3-shift system)
