Trade & Customs Specialist (m/f/d)

As a Trade & Customs Specialist, you will ensure compliance with international trade & customs regulations by managing customs processes, customs licenses, tariff classifications, and customs compliance tools and programs. This role supports import and export operations, monitors inventory movements within the bonded warehouse, performs compliance checks in accordance with the AEO‑C certification, optimizes processes and ensures continuous improvements as well as assessing and mitigating risks.
- Review and prepare on‑time and customs‑correct import and export documents via Dakosy Zodiak GE ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Complete clearance including preparation of all export shipping documents for non‑Union goods, considering SLA and KPIs
- Preparation and verification of A.TR, EUR.1, T2L customs certificates as well as import‑relevant documents for customers abroad
- Booking of imported goods into the bonded warehouse and active monitoring of stocks and bonded warehouse operations
- Monitoring of customs permits and the associated requirements
- Map, document and optimize processes
- Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) to follow in trade compliance and customs operations
- Safeguarding/complying with customs and economic regulations
- Maintain accurate records for customs audits and regulatory reporting
- Contact person for customs authorities, brokers, the logistics department, customer service and the warehouse
What we DREAM of:
- Commercial training in foreign trade, freight forwarding and logistics services or comparable training
- In‑depth knowledge in the field of import and export as well as in various customs procedures
- Practical experience in the field of bonded warehousing, AEO and compliance management
- Very good knowledge of customs and economic procedures/directives
- Know‑how in document processing, incoterms, commodity tariff numbers and export control
- Routine handling of MS Office. ATLAS and Dakosy ZODIAK GE
- Reliable and conscientious cooperation as well as willingness to make contacts, persuasiveness and intercultural competence
- Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
