Responsible for providing financial support and performance analysis to the global/regional operations and plant management teams. The role requires an exceptional business partner to drive organizational success through the development and execution of financial strategies.

Your Main Tasks

Calculation of production alternatives in terms of design, method and production location for EMIA Automotive product projects
Cost calculation in the early phase of new RFQ's with a Should Costing approach through appropriate input from Operations and Purchasing, as well as in all further phases according to the product development process (Concept, Design, Industrialization)
Performing capital analysis for the projects in terms of ROI, Payback, Operating Income and Break Even Point (Full Product P&L)
Support in the calculation of lifetime costs during all project phases; optimization of cost cycles in cooperation with key business partners such as Sales, Product Engineering, Product Management, Purchasing, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations-, Plant Controlling
Support/introduction of new cross-location cost methods for new product families and technologies in the individual production locations as part of target cost activities
Carrying out continuous cost and value driver analyses and implementing target costing
Proactive participation in interdisciplinary functional/core teams

Your Ideal Background

Bachelor's or Master's degree in industrial engineering or business administration
Relevant work experience in finance and production in the automotive industry; good understanding of the impact of process changes on financial performance (7 years+)
Ideally knowledge of thermoplastic injection molding, stamping, assembly processes, as well as machined parts & electronics
High level of experience in the supply process Tier1 business and direct OEM business
Broad understanding of manufacturing technologies to arrive at fast bid calculations with appropriate costing models
Confident appearance and persuasiveness
High affinity for value driver analysis
Many years of experience in costing for customer RRQ (quotation calculation)
Tier 1 experience towards OEM's an advantage
Patience, perseverance and passion for cost reduction
Experienced with SAP & FACTON, good MS Excel skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills - verbal & written - in German and English
