POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Business Excellence Manager with extensive experience in CAPEX and procurement to support the expansion and refurbishment of current US R&D facilities. This role involves defining playbooks for procurement contexts, understanding category management from a project perspective, and offering high-level strategies for governance models around projects. The ideal candidate will be self-driven, capable of setting up programs independently, and able to interact with customers with limited oversight.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and deploy holistic Procurement and Category Management structure for new construction projects.
  • Play a key role in contributing to the overall Procurement and construction goals for our clients.
  • Develop Procurement and Category management roadmap for multi-site project.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders that interact with the program strategies and goals.

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferred) in a related technical and/or business discipline or equivalent experience.

Technical Experience

  • 8-10 years of experience in developing and running programs in Procurement.
  • Knowledge of classical CAPEX projects, with sub-disciplines including Construction, Engineering, Equipment, Lab, Furniture, IT, and Architectural.
  • CAPEX/Procurement SME with 8-10 years of experience and a category procurement background (Engineering, R&D, Admin, IT).
  • Knowledge of Cougar Procurement System is a plus.
  • Dynamic and engaging program management skills.
  • Solid coaching and mentoring competency.
  • Ability to convey and communicate complex concepts simply and clearly.
  • Self‑starter, works independently, and maintains a positive, enthusiastic attitude.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Operate as a team and/or independently while demonstrating flexibility to changing requirements.
