Staff AI Engineer (Remote, Europe)

Salary: ~€110k–€130k

We’re partnering with one of the most innovative AI product companies in the world—used by millions globally—to find a Staff AI Engineer to join their high-calibre AI team. This company is redefining how people interact with AI—building systems that don’t just understand language, but emotion, memory, and context. From mobile to VR, they’re creating next-gen conversational experiences that feel less like software and more like connection. You’ll be working alongside top-tier AI engineers, backend developers, and infrastructure teams to help productionize cutting-edge LLMs and scale backend systems for millions of users.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Architecting & optimizing FastAPI-based microservices for AI/ML workloads
• Managing Redis (async) and MongoDB for real-time data flow & persistence
• Operationalizing large language models (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, LLaMA)
• Integrating vector search engines like Pinecone
• Supporting event-driven systems via Kafka
• Maintaining scalable Dockerized environments
• Driving CI/CD workflows via GitHub Actions
• Supporting observability and deployment tooling (Datadog, Structlog, Quadrant)

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years Python (FastAPI & async experience a major plus)
• Deep experience with Redis, MongoDB, Docker & Kafka
• Familiarity with LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic) and vector DBs (e.g., Pinecone)
• Solid experience with production-grade systems (500k+ users)
• CI/CD tooling, observability/logging with Datadog & Structlog
• A startup mindset and strong cross-functional collaboration skills

Bonus Points For:

• Knowledge of Scala
• Kubernetes experience
• Past experience working on AI/ML-driven products
• Previous experience in Staff, Lead, or Manager-level engineering roles
