Lead Backend Engineer (Golang) – Mob Control

Join Voodoo as a Technical Lead Backend Engineer focusing on our flagship mobile game, Mob Control . In this role you will design, develop, and maintain the backend platform that supports highly scalable mobile games, played by millions of users worldwide.

Location – Fully remote (CET ±2h) or Barcelona-based.

Team – Our Live Games team delivers higher engagement on our existing titles. You will be part of a small, cross‑functional group that handles everything from idea to launch and iteration.

Role – Collaborate closely with client developers and game designers to design APIs, write high‑performance code, and integrate client-side features. You will own the full lifecycle from feature design to delivery, validation, and continuous improvement.

Profile / Qualifications

• 7+ years of backend development experience
• Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals
• Extreme fluency in Golang
• Mastery of SQL and NoSQL
• Background in high‑scale systems
• Understanding of Unix‑like environments
• Experience working in cross‑functional agile teams
