Startup Team: Junior Network & Business Developer (Germany)

Role Description

Sutra-Telepod is developing theSutra Mobility Concept: a high-density network of autonomous, individual railpod vehicles designed to deliver efficient, low-impact mobility where conventional rail and transit solutions fall short.

We focus on applied R&D, pilot deployment, and public-sector collaboration to bring sustainable rail-based mobility into real-world operation.

We are looking for aBusiness Development professional focused on the German marketto help identify and shape potential pilot locations for our railpod system.

This is aremote, early-stage role with high ownership and direct impact on where and how our first deployments happen.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify regions and municipalities with mobility challenges
• Conduct market and stakeholder research (transport authorities, municipalities, operators)
• Build and maintain relationships with local and regional public-sector partners
• Support the identification and evaluation of pilot opportunities across Germany
• Contribute insights that inform technical and strategic decisions for deployment

About the role & compensation

Sutra-Telepod is an early-stage venture. The role isnot initially full-time , and compensation is expected to be tied to successful public funding applications (including Berlin- and federal-level programs such as BSS and EXIST).

This role is ideal for someone interested in:

Qualifications

• German Language: Native or C1–C2
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote, exploratory environment
• Bachelor’s degree (or in final semesters) or equivalent experience in Business, Marketing, Public Policy, Transport, or related fields
• Experience in transportation, infrastructure, or technology is a plus
