Strategic Alliances Specialist/ Interline Specialist

About the Role:
In this newly established role, the Interline Specialist will develop and manage strategic alliance partnerships to expand the company’s network reach. This role involves close collaboration with network planning and sales teams to negotiate pricing and contracts, while managing and strengthening relationships with partner airlines to ensure smooth and efficient partnership operations.

Responsibilities
  • Identifies opportunities for group sales offices using other airlines to expand their capabilities, contacts prospective carriers, and manages relationships with existing carriers to achieve sales targets.
  • Develops mutually beneficial relationships with other carriers that include multiple points of contact between the company and the carrier.
  • Learns the carrier’s business, competitive area, transportation needs and transportation selection process to gain long-term binding alliance
  • Seek and search annual new business opportunities by developing and negotiating new contracts and integrating the requirements with other carriers in the industry.
  • Communicates with carriers on a regular basis to ensure that both carriers needs are being met and works closely with them to maintain workable ratelevel.
  • Monitor and supervise ongoing shipments, issues and opportunities with appropriate team members to help resolve conflict and irregularities.
  • Strategize with other departments to develop and conduct annual contract reviews and negotiates implementation with carriers.
  • Utilize procedures, analyse data and track account sales activity to organize and efficiently manage territory.
  • Integrates with sales team members, sharing strategies, techniques, and quality opportunities for other territories.
  • Communicates between all relevant functions and departments to ensure they are aware of pertinent market conditions and interline method knowledge.

Requirements:
  • Experience with interline or alliance agreements, partnerships or contract negotiation within the aviation, cargo, logistics, or shipping industries
  • Experience with Excel and BI tools, data analysis skills.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, market evaluation and business development skills.
  • English proficiency, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, coordination skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, organized and detail‑oriented.
  • Willingness to travel when required.
  • BA degree in Economics, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
