GEA Group

Strategic Buyer Electricals

GEA Group Oelde

Stellenbeschreibung:

About the position

Are you ready to take full ownership of the electrical category at our Søborg site? And do you thrive in a role where you bridge category strategy and operational execution? Then join us and make a tangible impact by developing supplier relationships that strengthen both our project performance, sustainability and long‑term business value.

Your responsibilities and tasks

You will join a team of 4 strategic buyers who work together to secure the right suppliers, solutions and commercial agreements that support GEA’s projects and long‑term business needs. As part of our international procurement environment, you will also collaborate closely with colleagues across the global organisation.

The team thrives on collaboration and professional sparring — sharing insights, challenging assumptions and working across functions to ensure that procurement contributes directly to improved project execution, innovation and performance.

Your main responsibility is to ensure that suppliers, agreements and our category strategy all support the needs of our business.

Working at the intersection of sourcing excellence, supplier development and stakeholder collaboration, you will manage commercial tasks, drive performance improvements and enable strong project delivery.

  • Negotiate contracts and price agreements on electrical components
  • Ensure local implementation of the global electrical category strategy
  • Provide local feedback to the global categories and support cost reduction initiatives
  • Act as the main point of contact for suppliers, handling commercial topics, performance and compliance (e.g. CoC and NDA), as well as develop suppliers and supplier networks with a focus on innovation and sustainability
  • Support sales and project procurement during both pre‑sales and execution

Your profile and qualifications

As a skilled negotiator and problem‑solver, you are ready to drive procurement value and shape new ways of working. You know how to translate data into insights that support better decisions and turn ideas into concrete results. Navigating complex organisations with confidence, you are ready to drive procurement value in a dynamic and international environment.

In addition, we imagine that you:

  • Have solid experience with category management, sourcing, supplier management and contract negotiation
  • Are a strong communicator who is able to engage with stakeholders and suppliers at all levels
  • Thrive in a role where independence, persistence and resilience are key to creating a lasting impact.
