Strategic IT & General Affairs Buyer (m/f/d)

Shape the digital backbone of Europe’s next‑generation semiconductor fab. As Strategic IT & General Affaires Buyer, you will play a pivotal role in building and safeguarding the IT backbone of a highly complex, high‑tech manufacturing environment. You will lead sourcing activities for critical IT infrastructure, equipment, software, and services while supporting broader procurement needs of the business.

Working at the intersection of IT, operations, and global procurement, this role offers both strategic responsibility and hands‑on impact in a fast‑growing, international environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Translate business needs into sourcing strategies
   

   Partner with IT and business stakeholders to assess requirements, define category strategies for IT procurement, and ensure local execution in close collaboration with headquarters‑based procurement teams.

2. Build and manage strong supplier partnerships
   

   Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers and service providers to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and long‑term service stability.

3. Lead negotiations and contract management
   

   Drive contract negotiations to establish sustainable, commercially sound agreements aligned with operational and strategic objectives.

4. Manage risk, cost, and budgets
   

   Proactively assess procurement risks such as cost volatility or service disruptions and implement effective mitigation measures.

5. Stay ahead of the market
   

   Conduct market and supplier analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the IT sourcing landscape.

6. Ensure compliance and governance
   

   Guarantee adherence to procurement regulations, internal policies, corporate governance, and applicable standards.

7. Collaborate across functions
   

   Work closely with IT, construction, facilities, and business operations to align sourcing activities with project timelines and functional requirements.

Job Qualifications:

• Proven experience in strategic procurement, with a strong focus on IT sourcing
• At least 3 years of experience in strategic procurement operations, ideally within a high‑tech or multinational environment
• Solid track record in supplier management and contract negotiations
• Strong analytical, strategic, and problem‑solving skills with a data‑driven mindset
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and operational teams
• Open‑minded, culturally curious, and comfortable working with international colleagues and suppliers
• Fluency (C1 level) in English and German (written and spoken)
