Strategic Sourcing Manager (f/m/d) – Individual Contributor
Responsible for Direct Materials feeding manufacturing sites in the EMEA region. This role owns supplier relationships for direct material suppliers in EMEA under the leadership of the Sr. Strategic Sourcing Manager, EMEA. The position supports commodity strategies execution in the region and is located onsite in BK, Germany.

Key Responsibilities

• Regional Sourcing Strategy Execution (40%): identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conduct supplier assessments, attend supplier meetings/visits, maintain strong relationships with key suppliers via SBR’s, collaborate with cross‑functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, materials, quality), negotiate and manage contract administration (LTA’s/MSA’s), improve Supplier OTD, and support site inventory target management.
• Project Management (40%): ideate and execute project funnels, own Strategic Sourcing visual management (DVM), stay updated on emerging technologies/materials/best practices in pulp, resins, chemicals & plastics and supply chain management, monitor market trends & industry developments to identify opportunities for innovation, cost savings and risk mitigation, partner with Supplier Quality to execute supplier qualifications (FAIR, PPAP, etc.), and optimize supply‑chain design to maximize adherence to materials & inventory management.
• Customer Relationship Management (20%): collaborate with Ops, R&D, Engineering, Quality, Sales, Product Management; support external customers as necessary; drive on‑time delivery (OTD).
• Domestic and international travel required.

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in sourcing, purchasing or supplier relationship management focused on key technology commodities.
• Strong knowledge of materials, processes, pricing dynamics and the supplier landscape.
• Experience with pulp, resin, media, chemicals & plastics is a plus.
• Proven track record of negotiating contracts, reducing costs and improving supplier performance.
• Ability to travel 30% internationally.
