Supply Chain Manager – Retail Campaigns | Promotional Displays | Rollouts & Projects

This fast-growing consumer goods food company in Cologne is looking for an experienced Supply Chain professional to take the lead on their retail promotions and POS display operations - a business area that runs on tight deadlines, high volumes, and strong cross‑functional collaboration.

The organisation has seen unique growth in recent years and looks poised to continue expanding quickly - as an important figure within promotions and retail expansion, the person hired will play a key role in this, reporting to the Head of Supply Chain Execution. A retail background is non‑negotiable, but doesn't necessarily need to be food focused only.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys fast‑paced campaign management, supplier steering, hands‑on operational work, and leading a small team.

What you’ll drive :

  • Overseeing promotional retail campaigns end‑to‑end - from planning to execution
  • Coordinating suppliers, logistics partners, and external warehouses
  • Managing displays, packaging concepts, and promotional materials
  • Monitoring deadlines, volumes, stock, and critical paths
  • Troubleshooting issues proactively (transport delays, border problems, shortages, etc.)
  • Preparing upcoming campaigns, forecasting needs, and supporting Sales with timelines
  • Tracking performance metrics like sell‑out, ROI, and rate of sale
  • Leading and developing a team of four within the supply chain execution team
  • Strengthening supplier networks and improving processes as the business scales

What you bring :

  • Strong experience in retail promotions / POS displays (FMCG, food, lifestyle, nutrition, cosmetics, chemicals, etc.)
  • A background in working with strict deadlines and fixed‑date projects
  • Solid understanding of promotional performance levers (sell‑out, ROI, rate of sale)
  • Confident use of SAP, Excel, and BI tools
  • Leadership experience and the ability to run several projects at once
  • A hands‑on, organised, resilient mindset with strong communication skills
  • Fluent German and strong English
