System Administrator (m/f/d) IT Infrastructure

For our partner company based in Wiesbaden, we are looking for an IT System Administrator (m/f/d) as part of a direct placement (permanent position with our client).

In this position, you will ensure the high availability of complex server and virtualization landscapes and actively shape the modern network architecture. As an interface in 2nd level support, you will solve technical challenges sustainably and ensure smooth IT operations through proactive patch management and the implementation of security requirements. You will drive forward strategic migration projects and evaluate future-oriented technologies for the continuous optimization of the existing infrastructure.

Your tasks

• Administration and operation of the server and storage infrastructure and virtualization environments (VMware, Citrix)
• Maintenance and monitoring of network components (LAN, WAN, WLAN, firewalls) to ensure site connectivity
• Implementation of 2nd level support as well as analysis and sustainable elimination of system malfunctions
• Operational implementation of IT security specifications and regular patch management
• Active participation in migration projects as well as evaluation and documentation of new technologies

Your profile

• Professional experience in the administration of Windows server landscapes and virtualization technologies
• Knowledge of network technologies (TCP/IP, VLAN, routing) as well as IT security and backup strategies
• Structured and conscientious way of working and strong problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of ITIL processes is desirable
