System Architect - Technical Lead (m/f/d)

About the role
As System Architect, you will lead architectural alignment across the platform, guide teams with structured methodologies, and drive long‑term quality and scalability.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead and support component architects and developers to ensure consistency across the overall system architecture
- Understand future business, customer and product needs, and translate them into architectural requirements
- Define and implement processes for architectural documentation, planning and change management
- Own and maintain the technology and architecture roadmap
- Facilitate knowledge‑sharing and skill development within engineering teams
- Continuously monitor relevant technology trends and feed insights into long‑term planning
- Balance innovation, feature delivery and technical debt resolution in architectural decisions
- Align and moderate discussions among diverse stakeholders to reach shared architectural outcomes
Your Profile
- Strong methodological skills in system architecture and design, especially in software‑driven environments
- Familiarity with requirement management, system modeling, diagramming, and structured decision‑making
- Knowledge of architectural patterns and frameworks such as microservices, layered architectures, and event‑driven systems
- General understanding of current programming languages and technology stacks, particularly in domains such as IoT, big data, and AI/ML
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS), containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), data systems (SQL, NoSQL, graph databases), and data pipelines (ETL, streaming)
- Awareness of secure development practices and cybersecurity principles
- Strong communication, facilitation and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to engage cross‑functional teams
Nice to have
- Experience with edge computing and embedded systems
- Familiarity with classical, agile, or hybrid project management methodologies
- Exposure to creativity and innovation methods
- Understanding of quality and security standards such as ISO 27001
- Experience with data analytics or data science workflows
- Awareness of UX/UI principles and lean startup approaches
- Industry knowledge in heavy equipment, telemetry, vehicle data, or equipment‑as‑a‑service contexts
