Systems Architect

Overview

As a Systems Architect at Cisco, you will craft and implement cutting‑edge technologies and solutions for the evolving world of IT. Working closely with the Account Team and partners, you will shape the future of our customers in Germany and help Cisco succeed.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer‑facing workshops, POC activities, and strategic engagements focused on Cisco networking products across wireless, switching, and routing.
• Act as a technical advisor for sales teams, providing pre‑sales and technical support.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with key contacts at large customers, becoming their trusted advisor.
• Maintain deep knowledge of Cisco's cloud (e.g., Meraki) and on‑prem (e.g., Catalyst) solutions, and keep up to date with new features and industry trends.
• Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams (Architecture, Sales, Service, Engineering) to develop and manage the technical account plan.
• Generate new opportunities through customer meetings, events, and seminars.
• Help move deals through the sales process by effectively leveraging Cisco and partner tools and resources.
• Travel as required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect, Systems Engineer, or Sales Engineer.
• Strong technical background in Cisco networking solutions (wireless, switching, routing) and experience with cloud architecture (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS, SASE).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills.
• Fluent in German and English (written and verbal).
• Ability to translate complex network architectures into clear, actionable insights.
• Proven ability to work in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment and handle a sense of urgency.

Preferred Qualifications

• BS/MS degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading and designing large‑scale projects with multiple integration points.
• Knowledge of Cisco certifications (CCNP, CCDP, CCIE) and overlay solutions (Fabric technologies – VXLAN, LISP, BGP, EVPN).
• Understanding of networking industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.
