The Role

As a Tax Consultant in LucaNet's Tax product team, you will bridge the gap between deep tax expertise and product innovation. You will take ownership of specific tax domains (such as income tax, VAT, Pillar 2, CBCR or similar) while contributing to the strategic evolution of our tax platform. Working at the intersection of tax law, technology, and customer needs, you will combine hands‑on consulting expertise with product thinking to drive both customer success and platform modernization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the implementation and optimization of tax compliance solutions for complex client projects, serving as the technical authority on assigned tax domains.
• Translate tax requirements and regulatory changes into actionable product requirements and enhancements.
• Analyze tax process workflows and identify opportunities for both customer optimization and platform improvement.
• Collaborate across internal teams (Product, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success) to advocate for tax domain priorities and shape the product roadmap.
• Participate in product planning, sprint reviews, and technical architecture discussions to ensure tax solutions remain user‑centric and market‑relevant.
• Contribute to product demonstrations, client workshops, and thought leadership content that positions LucaNet as a tax technology leader.
• Support the continuous improvement of tax compliance features and identify emerging opportunities in tax technology landscapes, including AI‑driven automation and intelligent solutions.
• Evaluate and integrate AI tools and solutions to enhance tax compliance automation, data analysis, and client outcomes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in tax consulting, tax technology, or tax compliance with both technical and strategic exposure.
• Deep expertise in at least one major tax domain (income tax, VAT, transfer pricing, Pillar 2, CBCR, or similar), with solid understanding of German and ideally other European tax frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to understand complex regulatory requirements and translate them into technological solutions.
• Experience with tax software systems and familiarity with tax technology trends and the broader market landscape.
• Strong product mindset: ability to think strategically about features, user needs, and market opportunities, not just implementations.
• Proven project management and cross‑functional collaboration skills, with comfort working alongside product managers, engineers, and stakeholders.
• Excellent German and English at C1 or above. Able to explain complex tax concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Curiosity about the digitalization of tax processes and passion for improving how companies manage compliance.
• Familiarity with or openness to learning AI tools and solutions relevant to tax compliance and process automation.
• Bachelor's degree in tax law, accounting, business informatics, finance, or related field; relevant certifications (e.g., tax advisor) are a plus.
• Experience working in a SaaS or modern software environment is advantageous.
