Tax Expert | Global Consumer Goods Business | Berlin | Germany

We are recruiting a tax expert to sit in a corporate tax hub for a large global company with a shared service finance hub in Berlin, Germany. The tax team is responsible for corporate tax responsibilities in Germany and the international landscape. Reporting to the Head of International Tax, this role is for someone with good international and domestic tax awareness and tax audit and advisory experience.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the implementation, development and maintenance of compliant transfer pricing concepts and documentation
• Support projects of local and/or multinational reorganizations and optimization of the legal and financing structures in coordination with local team and other Group functions (Legal, Accounting, Treasury)
• Controlling and reconciliation of tax reporting quarterly and at year-end closing in line with IFRS/GAAP requirements
• Support local management on tax issues, e.g. general business support and audits
• Observe changes in tax legislation in the relevant countries and evaluate potential tax planning activities as a result of those changes.

Your Profile:

• Ideally, you will be degree-qualified in accounting or finance and have several years of tax experience in Germany, preferably working within tax consulting or a corporate tax department.
• You will have a strong knowledge of group tax responsibilities under IFRS/GAAP in Germany, and ideally, you will also hold a Tax Advisor qualification.
• International experience is highly desirable; exposure to a global footprint is important; or experience within shared-service hubs is also desirable.
• Working in English and German is essential, but other European language skills are useful.
