Tax & Finance Manager

Our client is a leading global provider of innovative, flexible and complex manufacturing systems, specialized in their development, project planning and implementation.

This position is a key role established within the German group company, combining dual responsibilities in finance and tax management. The candidate will be responsible for implementing the group’s overall financial strategy, coordinating IPO preparation, providing comprehensive financial support, and overseeing domestic and international tax compliance and optimization.

Key responsibilities:

• oversee the overall financial management of the German group and its holding company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and reliability of financial reporting,
• oversee tax compliance, reporting, and planning for the German group and its subsidiaries, ensuring adherence to German and international tax regulations,
• lead IPO preparation, coordinating with sponsors, auditors, and external advisors to meet regulatory and disclosure requirements,
• supervise budgeting, financial analysis, and business performance monitoring across subsidiaries; drive standardization, digitalization, and internal control enhancement,
• support the CFO in developing and implementing financial strategies, providing analytical insights to guide key business decisions,
• manage financing activities, including planning, structure optimization, and relationships with banks and financial institutions,
  lead tax structuring and optimization initiatives, including transfer pricing, cross-border taxation, and profit allocation strategies.
• manage tax audits, interactions with tax authorities, and monitoring of tax risks, including for overseas establishments.
  track regulatory and legislative changes to assess their financial and operational impact on the group.

Essentials skills and requirements:

• 8+ years of combined experience in financial and tax management, preferably within a multinational corporation group,
• strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS),
• familiarity with the German tax regulatory system, transfer pricing principles, and international taxation for project-based enterprises,
• German Tax Advisor (Steuerberater) certification or equivalent qualification is preferred,
• prior experience with IPO preparation, financial standardization, or external audit coordination is highly desirable,
• excellent financial analysis, project management, and cross-functional communication skills,
• proficiency with financial and tax management systems, strong numerical sensitivity, and analytical reasoning,
• fluency in, English, and German (Chinese will be an additional asset) with the ability to work and communicate effectively in a multinational environment.
