For our area Tax Services – Team Tax – Investment Administration Insourcing Services (IAIS) at State Street Bank International GmbH in Frankfurt we are looking, with immediate effect, for a Tax Manager InvStG / Tax Fund Services (m/w/d) – Assistant Vice President . In IAIS Tax Services we provide tax services for large German and international asset managers at a market-leading level in Germany.
Your Role
- Holistic internal tax advisory (Investmentsteuerreformgesetz, KAGB, etc.) and independent handling of complex tax inquiries from internal stakeholders and clients
- Internal point of contact for tax-related questions and analyses on the taxation of investment funds under InvStG, KStG, EStG, Steueroasenabwehrgesetz, Wachstumschancengesetz, etc.
- Responsibility for preparing and delivering internal trainings on tax law topics
- Preparation of tax regulatory client workshops and investor meetings and creation of tax technical concepts within projects
- Analysis of tax requirements in connection with the operational representation in the fund accounting system Simcorp and FlexTax
- Support in implementing legal requirements in operational units in close and timely coordination with customers
- Participation in tax reporting and support in day-to-day business
- Assistance in managing tax audits and responding to audit requests related to administered special and retail funds
- Further development, documentation and implementation of processes, controls and governance structures
- Contributing to the further development of the Tax Service model
- Close collaboration with internal interfaces (Operations, Accounting, IT, Risk & Compliance, Business Support)
- Professional support for projects, system adjustments and automation/optimization initiatives

Your Profile
- Successfully completed studies in business administration, economics or law with a focus on taxation, or a Diplom-Finanzwirt
- Ideally additional tax advisor exam or similar further training
- Several years of professional experience (5–8 years) at an asset management company or a tax consultancy/auditing firm in the tax area of financial services for asset managers and banks
- Excellent MS Office skills
- Fluent German and good English skills
- Independent, efficient and structured work style with high quality standards
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- High commitment and strong advisory and decision-making capabilities
