Responsibilities

Technical and disciplinary management of the general ledger and sub‑ledger team (6 people) with a focus on motivation, development and individual support for employees
Ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and IFRS
Responsibility for general ledger accounting, sub‑ledgers, account reconciliation and accounting for complex business transactions
Management, prioritisation and coordination of tasks within the team – even during periods of high workload
Promotion of an open, trusting and solution‑oriented team culture
Working closely with Controlling, Group Accounting, the Tax Department and external auditors
Identifying and implementing process optimisations, automation and internal control mechanisms
Actively participating in projects for system implementation, standardisation and further development of accounting

Your profile

Completed degree in business administration or commercial training with relevant further education
Successfully passed accountant exam is an advantage, but not a must
At least 10 years of professional experience in finance and accounting, with initial management experience
In‑depth knowledge of accounting in accordance with HGB and IFRS
Very good SAP knowledge at user level, preferably in S/4HANA
High level of confidence in closing accounts, analytical thinking and sense of responsibility
Strong leadership skills with empathy, strong communication skills and role model behaviour
Ability to act resiliently and solution‑oriented in a dynamic environment
Enjoyment in promoting and coaching employees and acting as a sparring partner on an equal footing
Good written and spoken English skills
