Are you a hands-on e-bike expert with leadership skills and a passion for sustainable mobility? Our client, a fast-growing e-mobility company based in Düsseldorf, is looking for a driven Team Lead E-Bike Mechanics to lead their refurbishment/repair workshop and mentor a talented team of mechanics.
About the Role
As Team Lead, you will head the e-bike workshop and be responsible for ensuring that all repaired or refurbished e-bikes meet high-quality standards. You will mentor and guide the mechanics team, oversee daily operations, and drive continuous improvement in workflow, quality, and efficiency. This is a high-impact role where technical excellence meets leadership and sustainable mobility.
What You Will Do
- Lead and mentor a team of e-bike mechanics guide them, support their development and ensure high performance.
- Act as the technical expert: handle complex diagnostics and repairs, set quality benchmarks and support hands‑on repair work.
- Oversee day‑to‑day workshop operations: manage workflow, coordinate tasks, optimize processes and ensure timely delivery.
- Enforce rigorous quality control: ensure every refurbished e‑bike meets safety, performance and quality standards before release.
- Identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks propose and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, consistency and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other departments (operations, customer service, logistics) to coordinate repairs, deliveries, and customer handling smoothly.
- Ensure a safe, clean, organized and compliant working environment follow health & safety and workshop best practices.
What You Bring
- Several years of hands‑on experience in e‑bike or bicycle mechanics (including e‑bike systems), with deep technical knowledge across a variety of brands and models.
- Proven experience leading or mentoring a team ability to guide, motivate and support mechanics.
- Excellent diagnostic, repair and problem‑solving skills capable of handling complex mechanical and electrical issues.
- Strong organizational, multitasking and workflow‑management skills comfortable working in a fast‑paced workshop environment.
- Commitment to quality, attention to detail and safety standards.
- Passion for sustainable mobility and high service standards.
- Basic computer literacy (for repair logs, inventory, scheduling) and readiness to work onsite in Düsseldorf.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of German is a plus.
