In this position, you will lead and manage our grid connection team. Our grid connection team focuses on developing projects and implementing them in accordance with technical regulations and the German Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG). Our work is extensive, but therefore always varied and exciting.

• Development and implementation of cost-effective grid connection solutions for connecting our onshore wind, PV and BESS projects
• Planning and design of electrical network infrastructure, such as substations, transfer stations, transformer stations and cable networks, including the preparation of technical specifications and tender documents.
• Application, status monitoring and securing of the grid connection permit with the responsible DSO/TSO.
• Development of grid connection concepts
• Design of the grid connection taking into account the relevant guidelines and the local grid code
• Performing network calculations and economic evaluation of network connection concepts
• Coordination and management of substation projects and active facilities
• Commissioning of projects and support of the certification process
• On-site inspection of the facilities, if necessary
• Coordination and alignment with network operators and service providers during network connection
• Internal communication regarding the project development, construction and technology team
• regular reporting to management and technical leadership

Your profile

• Completed studies in electrical engineering, energy technology or comparable qualification; alternatively, several years of professional experience as a technician or master craftsman in the field of grid connection.
• Experience in managing and leading teams
• Sound knowledge of grid connection planning, e.g. for renewable energies, ideally also at the high-voltage level.
• Good and expanded network of DSOs and TSOs
• Experience in performing network calculations and in using relevant network calculation programs (e.g., DIgSILENT, PowerFactory, PSS SINCAL, E-Plan, etc.) is advantageous.
• Knowledge of current standards and guidelines (VDE-AR-N 4110, VDE-AR-N 4120, etc.)
• Good communication skills, independent, assertive, and the ability to formulate complex issues in an understandable way.
