Your Contribution 

As the Team Lead Statutory Group Accounting - Region Europe (m/f/d), you will be responsible for the professional and disciplinary management of the employees in the Corporate Controlling Accounting department for the Europe region.

  • Professional management of employees in the Shared Service Center in Poland
  • Responsible for supporting the subsidiaries in the European region on accounting issues and questions relating to the preparation of reporting packages
  • Professional contact person for first-time consolidations/deconsolidations, mergers and carve-outs
  • Responsible for sub-areas of consolidation - in particular the elimination of intercompany profits and losses in fixed and current assets and capital consolidation, including all possible special cases such as the mapping of mergers, carve-outs, first-time consolidations and deconsolidations, change of method from at equity valuation to full consolidation, etc.
  • Responsible for preparing the consolidated cash flow statement
  • Responsible for preparing the balance sheet annexes for the consolidated annual financial statements and the quarterly financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement, statement of changes in equity, notes, statement of changes in fixed assets, list of shareholdings, group chart)
  • Preparation of planning calculations and simulations as a basis for management decisions
  • Responsible for preparing presentations, explanatory annexes and analyses of consolidated financial statements for the management, supervisory bodies, rating agencies, banks and investors
  • Calculation of key figures for financing
  • Contact person for auditors
  • Preparation of special accounting issues
  • Preparation of training documents and implementation of training for MAHLE employees on accounting issues
  • Further development of group-wide internal guidelines
  • Cooperation with the Group Controlling, Business Analysis and Financing departments
  • Collaboration in the introduction of the new reporting and consolidation system (SAP BCS/4HANA)
  • Maintenance and further development of other IT-based analysis and reporting "tools" (mainly Excel-based)

    • Your Experience and Qualifications

  • Successfully completed studies in business administration or economics with a focus on accounting/controlling/finance
  • Many years of professional experience in accounting/controlling or at an auditing firm
  • Initial experience in managing employees
  • Very good, in-depth accounting knowledge of single-entity and consolidated financial statements in HGB and IFRS
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Meticulous and systematic working style and professional competence
  • Strategic thinking and systematic problem solving
  • Intercultural skills
  • Experience in using SAP EC-CS / BCS, or comparable consolidation software
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills
