We are looking for a

Team Leader for Finance, Reporting, and Document Management Systems (m/f/d)

Would you like to play an active role in digitizing the administration of Ulm University in the areas of ERP and electronic file management? Then come and join us! With around 140 employees, the kiz is the second largest central institution at Ulm University and provides services in the areas of library, information technology, and media for research, teaching, studies, and administration.

The Information Systems department operates the application systems for university administration and the kiz library services, and develops and implements IT applications within the scope of projects. It is also responsible for providing and supporting scientific software systems.

You can expect an exciting and varied position with independent responsibilities in the field of scientific support.

Your profile:

• Completed scientific degree at a university (diploma, master's) or college (master's) in (business) information technology or comparable, as well as several years of relevant professional experience
• In-depth knowledge of the introduction, support, and further development of ERP systems, in particular SAP S/4HANA.
• Several years of experience in working with university and administration-specific IT solutions (e.g., HISinOne, research information systems, document and data warehouse systems).
• Confident use of classic and agile project management methods.
• In-depth knowledge of financial processes and experience in statistics and data analysis are an advantage.
• Detailed knowledge of technical IT security methods in the areas of operating systems, networks, and the application systems used (university level), as well as interface technologies.
• Basic knowledge of English and very good written and spoken German (C2)
• Ability to work in a team, resilience, independent working style, and strong communication skills

Your tasks:
Team leadership

• Technical and organizational team leadership
• Development and implementation of strategic/operational goals
• Resource and budget planning, including reporting
• Strategic system development and technology evaluation

Project management & security

• Management of IT projects (introduction, optimization, migration, digitization)
• Coordination of participating specialist and IT departments
• Definition, implementation, and adaptation of security measures

Service owner reporting

• Operation of SAP BI/BO and SAP BW
• Coordination of the overall business intelligence strategy
• Development, adaptation, and implementation of reports
