We are looking for an experienced Team Leader Finance (m/f/d) to join the management team responsible for all statutory and management accounting activities, supported by a small team of qualified accountants.

Your tasks

• Ensuring proper financial accounting in accordance with HGB (budget planning, forecasts, liquidity management, cash flow optimization, and cost accounting, etc.)
• Management and monitoring of accounting and controlling processes
• Preparation and creation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to HGB
• Submission of periodic VAT, trade tax, and corporate tax returns
• Timely and accurate reporting of actual figures and quarterly forecasts to Regional and Divisional Management
• Target vs. actual comparisons, variance analyses, and communication of results to local management, as well as recommendations for optimization
• Implementation of local and group-wide requirements for document storage and management
• Coordination of annual audits and main contact person for local auditors
• Local contact for digitization and automation of financial processes, and continuous improvement of the already implemented SAP solution
• Contact person for tax advisors, auditors, banks, and authorities, as well as Group finance functions
• Leadership and development of the local finance and accounting team
• Promotion of open, trust-based communication and corporate culture

Requirements

• Completed studies in business administration or a comparable qualification.
• Further training as a certified accountant is an advantage.
• 10+ years of professional experience in finance and accounting, including in a leadership position.
• Professional experience in the industrial sector as well as in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) is an advantage.
• Experience in the area of annual financial statements according to HRB.
• Confident English speaking and writing skills as well as good German skills.
• Proficient in SAP and MS Office. Knowledge of consolidation systems is an advantage.
