Your responsibilities and tasks
GEA AHEAD stands for “AI for Human Empowerment, Automation & Digitalization” and is GEA’s global transformation program for leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) across all units. In this role you will drive Data and AI solutions along the value stream of an engineering company to enable exceptional performance in areas such as engineering, production, sales and service as well as in finance and legal as central functions.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- AI Product definition: Translate business requirements and strategic objectives into clear AI product visions, roadmaps and technical concepts. Ensure a prioritized product backlog, well‑defined user stories and acceptance criteria.
- AI Product lifecycle: Own and manage the end‑to‑end AI product lifecycle, from ideation and prototyping to industrialization, scaling and operations. Ensure smooth transitions between experimentation, MVP and production‑grade solutions.
- Technical stewardship: Ensure that solution architectures, data and technologies involved comply with GEA enterprise standards for topics such as product quality, security, documentation and operations. Act as a sparring partner for development teams.
- Delivery orchestration: Serve as the primary point of contact for teams involved in the product delivery. Plan, coordinate and steer delivery activities in an agile setup. Actively manage dependencies, risks and impediments to ensure reliable delivery timelines.
- Stakeholder alignment and governance: Align AI products with internal stakeholders such as IT, Information Security, and Data Protection.
Your profile and qualifications
- Several years of experience as Product Owner, Technical Product Manager or similar role, ideally in AI or data‑driven products.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate between business and technical audiences.
- Solid knowledge of current Data & AI technologies and modern software engineering practices. Comfortable to engage in technical topics with development teams.
- A proactive, hands‑on mentality with a strong sense of ownership. You enjoy getting things done.
- Solid understanding of an enterprise environment and processes.
- Fluent business English; German is a plus.
- Willingness to travel up to 20%.
