Technical Application Support Engineer – Electronics / Customer Facing

This leading semiconductor company urgently seeks a Technical Application Engineer for their technical and customer support group based at their R+D Centre in Munich. The Technical Application Engineer will be working as part of a small, high calibre team supporting video interface software and hardware products including communications interfaces (Displayport, HDMI, Ethernet, I2C, SPI) to both external and internal customers. This will include supporting customers and partners worldwide for high‑resolution real‑time video and audio channels aimed at the automotive market. The Technical Application Engineer will be working closely with the embedded software and hardware development teams.

You have completed your degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Electronic Engineering or similar and have several years of experience supporting customers and colleagues solving complex electronic problems within video, audio or similar product development projects. Your hands on skills should include hardware‑near programming of microcontrollers or embedded Linux software in C or C++ and you must be able to demonstrate a successful track‑record of solving technical issues while working closely with customers. Any exposure to DisplayPort, I2C, SPI, HDMI or Ethernet would be beneficial.

Candidates need to be fully authorised to work in the EU and also need to speak fluent German and English.
