Your mission

• You take the lead in developing comprehensive business plans for new product streams, carefully analyzing market fit and techno-economic feasibility to ensure successful market entry.
• You provide the business rationale behind technical initiatives, making sure they create real market impact and contribute to sustainable margin growth.
• You shape and continuously refine cylib’s product roadmap, aligning technical processes with emerging market opportunities.
• You build and apply techno-economic models to evaluate technical options, balancing cost, yield, investment, and market demand.
• You drive hands‑on feasibility studies to identify process improvements and optimize equipment configurations.
• As a collaborative connector, you bring together technical, commercial, ESG, and operational teams to advance projects smoothly and effectively.
• You represent cylib professionally in strategic discussions with technology partners, engineering firms, and OEMs.
• You provide strategic insights to actively support fundraising efforts and strengthen investor relations.

Your profile

• You bring strong business acumen paired with hands‑on experience in technical, engineering, or product‑related roles (5 to 10+ years preferred).
• You hold a degree in chemical or process engineering, materials science, or industrial engineering; an MBA or solid business experience is a valuable plus.
• You possess deep expertise in decision modeling, economic analysis, and strategic thinking, with a proven ability to develop robust, data‑driven strategies that drive business success.
• Your excellent communication and leadership skills enable you to effectively collaborate and drive alignment across diverse, cross‑functional teams.
• You are passionate about leveraging technology to create sustainable business impact and enjoy taking ownership of initiatives from concept to implementation.

About us

cylib is a research‑based German scale‑up for holistic battery recycling – starting from discharging to recovery of all components of the lithium battery – that was founded in Aachen in 2022 by three visionary founders, including a female CEO.

Our process

The cylib process offers a complete end‑to‑end process from battery pack to green battery material by employing a combination of mechanical and thermal pre‑treatments and an innovative water‑based lithium and graphite recovery. Unlike incumbents, cylib can therefore recover battery materials such as lithium, graphite or manganese. The process was developed over several years of research at the renowned RWTH Aachen University and offers an efficient, resource‑ and climate friendly recovery of all battery materials from end‑of‑life batteries.

cylib’s technology enables the recovery of all battery components regardless of whether it is an end‑of‑life battery or not. Recovery of green secondary raw materials from the cylib process enables the realization of the true Circular Economy on the European market.
