Your Role

Your Role As a Technical Purchasing Specialist, you will play a key role in expanding our product portfolio in a cost-competitive manner. You will be responsible for conducting cost calculations that set price targets for our Purchasing team, ensuring we maintain a competitive edge while developing world-class electronics for the automotive and battery industries. Your contributions will help strengthen our technological leadership and ensure we meet market demands with innovative and affordable products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including purchasing, hardware development, and industrialization, to identify cost-saving opportunities. With a data-driven approach, you will continuously assess and refine cost structures and processes to ensure cost efficiency. Additionally, you will utilize the generated cost calculation data to report key performance indicators (KPIs) to the management team, showcasing purchasing achievements. Your insights will support long-term strategic decisions, helping optimize resource allocation and sustain competitiveness in the market.

Your future tasks at a glance

  • Conduct cost calculations to establish price targets for sourcing teams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sourcing, hardware development, industrialization) to identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Perform competitive analysis to ensure cost-effective sourcing of electronic components and systems
  • Evaluate and refine cost structures, processes, and technologies for continuous improvement
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to management, highlighting sourcing achievements
  • Research and evaluate potential suppliers to ensure they meet cost, quality, and timeline requirements
  • Monitor market trends and emerging technologies to identify potential impacts on sourcing and pricing strategies

What You Bring With You

  • Successfully completed university degree in engineering, product development or a related field
  • Proven experience in cost engineering, cost estimation, or technical sourcing, specifically within the automotive or electronics industry.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, financial modeling, and cost forecasting tools to drive data-driven decisions.
  • Highly motivated, results-driven individual with a passion for cost optimization and process efficiency, willingness to take responsibility and ownership of projects
  • Independent working style, pursuit of clever solutions and excellent communication skills (English and German)
