Technical Sales Representative - EMEA PB&T

Responsibilities
- Account Maintenance: Increase customer engagement through participation on PDT's, manage all kinds of customers' enquiries independently and implement corrective actions timely or recommend changes proactively, lead account team to resolution of technical issues, finish order process proactively.
- Effective Coordination: Ensure all parties are kept up to speed to ensure appropriate actions are completed timely and accurately and communicated to customer services, credit & receivables specialist, logistics, sales team, TS&D, customers, Product Management etc. Provide leadership in coordinating solutions / improvement in support of customers' concerns/ issues.
- Negotiations: Negotiate prices; organize and drive commercial contracts (include Contractual Agreement) with customers to achieve sales targets.
- Good at finding common ground through focused listening.
- Has customer’s trust and respect and is viewed as a credible resource.
- Maintains composure during conflict and sees conflict as opportunity.
- Sensitive to “pacing” of negotiations.
- May need help knowing when to walk‑away.

- Margin Maximization & Customer Segmentation: Proficient at influencing customers to convert to products that align better with Trinseo's product and customer segmentation strategy and initiates a team that will help the customer during the conversion process. Skillfully walks away from accounts that no longer fit Trinseo's strategy while leaving the door open for future business.
- Forecasting: Understand customers' production and input accurate and reliable short‑term forecast of customers appropriately.
- New Business Development: Strengthen relationship with customers, by penetrating beyond purchasing to key/core customers who can provide avenues for broad win‑win successes; provide support and deliver our business plan commitment to key/core customers which requires adjusting, adapting and implementing effective business strategies. Explore new business opportunity and assess the potential of customers and organize the internal resources for further development.
- Market Intelligence: Understand the market, business and competitors. Collect and provide comprehensive reports of market dynamics, market demand consumption changes, trends and customers’ needs used to develop new product development plan and develop account/strategic plan consistent with global market plans and go to correct direction.
- External Activities: Participate and represent the company in main industry trade fairs/symposiums.
Qualifications
- Education: BSc or MSc degree in chemistry or engineering, polymer science or science related field.
- Experience: Sales professional with significant experiences in territory sales and full knowledge of the product lines and its application.
- 5+ years of coated paper & board industry experience. Market knowledge, grade structure, end‑uses, printing & converting.
- Experience in coated paper & board formulation development, coating application, paper finishing and paper performance testing.
- Knowledge, Skills & Ability: Interpersonal, Communication, Planning, business acumen, sociable, account management & negotiation, cross‑functional collaboration.
